Jocabed Hornbrook moved from Mexico to Canada in 2003, she is married and has three children. She studied Early Childhood Education at MacEwan University and really enjoyed the program. She began teaching in fall of 2010 and has never looked back. Passionate about small children and their development, teaching is a natural fit for her.

As an educator, she believes in programs that allow children to develop all aspects of their person. Her teaching style fosters positive environments and experiences that encourages individuality so that each child may become all they were destined to become. Joca values the use of continuous positive reinforcement as a means to support a child’s growth and development.

Joca likes to provide a space where children can feel supported, safe and are exposed to a variety of activities where learning is so much fun! It is her desire that children in her care enjoy a positive and successful experience.

In her free time Joca enjoys yoga, hiking with her family and, most recently, mountain biking. Grateful for this new opportunity to connect with the children and parents of Blue Quill Playschool, Joca is looking forward to meeting you. Joca is sure to make your child feel welcome and a part of the class.
