December 2014

posted Jan 19, 2015, 7:55 PM by Mark Morris
The very busy month of December is already here! We have a tradition at the playschool of asking the parents to bring in mittens and other children's outdoor wear and collecting it for the less fortunate. This is a time of year when the children are focusing on what they want and what they will get. I think it serves us all very well to stop for a few minutes and to realize that some children in our city don't have the bare necessities. I will discuss with the children that some little ones in our city need our help so that they can get to and from school comfortably. So please, next time you go shopping, throw in an extra pair of mittens or if your child has outgrown some winter wear that is still in great shape, donate so that we can pass it on to an inner city school. Thanks!!!

As mentioned on the front page, our Christmas workshop happens December 11 and 12.

On the last day of school (Thursday, December 18 for the Green class and Friday, December 19 for the Yellow class) we will have a pajama day. Everyone including teachers and parent helpers should wear their "bed wear". We will celebrate the last day of school by watching movies. Snack in the form of popcorn, m&m's, and juice will be provided by the teachers.

Happy holidays to all our families. May the New Year bring you much health, happiness, and love.

See you back at school on January 5th and 6th.

Sincerely,

Louise and Teresa
