Here we go! The final 3 months of our school year have arrived so quickly. Weʼre back from spring break, well rested and ready for some learning, some fun and some adventure.

We start with our fire safety unit. Always an interesting but so important unit. Mrs Teresaʼs nephew Matthew, a city of Edmonton firefighter has agreed to come talk to the children on Wednesday, April 13th at approximately 9:30. Our goal is always to familiarize the children with firefighters, show them how they look and sound when they are in full gear and to understand that they are there to help them. The visit will happen on a Wednesday but both classes are invited to come for the special visit. If you are from the Green class, you are welcome to stay with your child during the presentation. Siblings are also welcome.

Mothers mark your calendars! We have another big day coming up. Here at Blue Quill Playschool, we always have a very special tea party for Motherʼs Day. The children will work very hard through the month of April to prepare a presentation in honor of the woman they love so much. The party is from 10:00 to 11:15 on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6. It is the highlight of the year and so meaningful. We will send out an official invite towards the end of April, but please clear your calendar and plan on being there. (it is a special time for just you and your child, therefore no siblings please)

Donʼt forget the AGM on April 26. A super big thank you to Maureen and Dan ( Eva Myerʼs parents ) for once again arranging to have us use the Fun Dome. Maureen will be taking some pictures that night, that could potentially be used for promotion purposes. If you would rather be excluded from these photos, you will be able tell Maureen on the night of the AGM.
